Where have I been?

Firstly, let me apologise. It has been nearly 2 months since I last posted a blog, and by all accounts that blog wasn't as good as it could have been. However, I do have a handful of very good reasons as to the absence. In between moving, and losing 2 grandparents, I also went on holiday. A holiday which as it happens, will form the basis of this blog :)

so, where have I been? I will tell you.

Egypt!

Egypt has always been on the list of places to visit, ever since becoming obsessed with the mummy all those years ago. I wanted to visit ancient Egypt, to meet the Pharaohs, see all of the jewels and treasures that they possessed. sadly, I do not have a time machine.... yet. So modern day Egypt will have to suffice. Which, as it seems, is not as far away from Ancient Egypt as you think. well I mean there are no slaves, but there is a [at the time of writing, at least] an imbalance in power and a country wide uprising. Sadly, this limited the places I could visit. Mainly, the Pyramids. The Pyramids have been on my list of places to visit since I knew they existed. so needless to say, I was, and still am, gutted to have missed them. But hey, there is always next time I suppose :)

So time for the pics. These were taking in Sharm el Sheikh which is pretty much a holiday resort / building site. but never the less, there are some interesting features.

Garbage and open man holes at the side of the main road.

Obviously I was intrigued by this area!

Guard dogs. They were happily playing, but when you went near the site, they would turn fierce!

Echo Hills. it basically does what it says. things echo.

I don't know what to say about this! at the dinner table too!

On the plane I got talking to a chap who told me that Egypt was one of the best places to scuba dive because of the clear waters and corals. He wasn't wrong:

And nowhere is complete without a Hard Rock!

So hopefully I'll be able to get some more Blogs up and running soon, once I have properly settled into my routine at my new place.

Peace!
